How does the Pro Series enhance my bottom-line? high-yield cartridges and scan to e-mail

"What this printer has done for me is offered convenience," said Todd Sallee, CFO and co-owner. "Every week after I do payroll, this printer gives me the ability to scan and save my tax documents to my company server and e-mail a PDF of the document over to my accountant, so he has a copy. I do it all using the Web-connected touch screen.

"Beyond that, I love the new Vizix ink technology. Any business owner will tell you that they print mostly black and white copies.

With the ink system, I can see on my desktop when my black cartridge is getting low and switch that out. But, it doesn't happen nearly as often because I can use the high-yield cartridge.

"I'm also a huge fan of the scanning ability. I love that I can scan a color document and e-mail it to potential clients. The look is truly professional."

Even in tough economic times for construction, Sallee said he can't imagine going back into his original banking career. He said especially in tough economic times, he appreciates the time and money his Lexmark Professional Series Platinum is saving him.

"I'm really impressed. Everything flows with this printer. This is saving our company money," Sallee finishes. "I couldn't go back to life without it."

Todd's Work

It was a construction company established in 2003, but that is not when Todd Sallee signed on.

"I still remember my friend approaching me about going into business together during a lunch meeting," recalls Sallee. "I had one question for him: 'Are you out of your mind?'"

It's with a grin Sallee shares his journey from bank executive to business owner; he traded the corporate address to venture out on his own, turning that friend into a business partner as the CFO and co-owner of C&G Construction in 2005.

"I prayed about it, my family prayed about it and it just came together," explained Sallee. "I took off that tie and haven't looked back."

Construction has been hit hard by the recession, and for a CFO, watching every penny is part of the job. That's why Sallee has made Lexmark a business partner; sitting within arm's reach of the business owner is a 2009 Lexmark Professional Series Platinum.
