Lexmark partners with Dalton Ellis to launch the sustainable Carbon Neutral Programme

Exclusive collaboration crafted to provide companies in the UK with environmentally friendly solutions.

MAIDENHEAD, 6 December, 2016

Lexmark International, Inc., a global technology leader, today announced an exclusive partnership in the UK with its channel partner, Dalton Ellis to create the sustainable Carbon Neutral Programme. Combining technology with environmentally friendly processes, the programme encourages sustainability by providing end-users with a package that consists of recycled woodland trust paper, a Lexmark printer/multifunctional device and access to Lexmark’s Cartridge Collection Programme (LCCP).

With climate change high on the agenda for governments and businesses alike, studies conducted by scientific bodies advise that to avoid a temperature rise of more than 2 degrees by 2050 we must reduce our carbon emissions by 80% in that same period.

The Carbon Neutral Programme consists of three crucial elements; recycled paper, a Lexmark printer/multifunction device and access to the LCCP programme which incorporates collection, recycling and remanufacturing of all toner cartridges providing 100% landfill avoidance. Additionally with each purchase of the programme, a donation is made to The Woodland Trust conservation charity. The entire Carbon Neutral Programme, from start to finish offsets carbon emissions, making the initiative completely sustainable.

Dalton Ellis supplements these services with additional environmentally friendly practices including its implementation of ‘Pull Printing’, which not only increase print efficiencies within companies but also improves the green effect, reducing paper output by an average of 20%.

As a member of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Lexmark is continually looking to make environmentally conscious decisions throughout its business. Sustainability and environmental impact continue to increase in importance with UK businesses and it was that client focus that led to the inception of the Carbon Neutral Programme with Dalton Ellis. The programme was born from a desire to help end-users make decisions that have a positive impact on the planet.

LCCP is a service that offers free cartridge collection and a recycling and reuse process for all ink cartridges. Supported by the LCCP app available on IOS and Android, customers can, once registered, use the app to order additional cartridge recycling containers or request a free collection.
