LPM Delivers New Level of Flexibility

Lexmark Print Management brings added flexibility and savings through the channel

Maidenhead, UK - 18/02/2014

Lexmark Print Management delivers a new level of flexibility, enabling businesses to create a secure, shared printing and imaging environment with enduring benefits.

  • Optimises network printing and creates an information edge with a print management solution that can be deployed on-premise or through the cloud
  • Enables channel partners to differentiate their portfolio and position themselves as an advanced solution provider
  • Unleashes the full potential of printing with flexible management options that help improve printing mobility and security, as well as reduce waste

Lexmark Print Management (LPM) gives channel partners a solutions that is flexible, easy to set up and maintain. It can be seamlessly integrated into existing customer IT environments and procedures.

Through LPM, not only can providers offer their business customers the ability to reduce printing costs and shrink carbon footprint, but also introduce new functionality in a timely, cost-effective manner.

For instance, through LPM partners can help their customers strengthen access controls, security and compliance, enable printing from mobile devices, track activity and increase user accountability and add redundancy, ensuring printer availability.

As part of Lexmark Print Management, Print Release lets users send print jobs from anywhere, e.g. from their desktop, tablet or smartphone and release the jobs for printing whenever and wherever they want to. All documents are held in the print queue until their owners release them.

This means confidential information stays protected and print jobs don't pile up endlessly on office printers. The queue can be hosted on-premises or in the cloud for additional features and benefits.

Furthermore, powerful tracking and accounting tools let partners and end-users jointly monitor every print, copy and scan transaction by every user on every device. This data, combined with a variety of reporting options, delivers the insight needed to proactively manage the network printing and imaging environment. For example, to curb waste and promote responsible use, LPM can easily be configured to implement print quotas for individual users or user groups, or to restrict access to certain features such as copy, scan or fax. Combined with the option of hosted or on-premise operation, this flexibility means providers can offer a broad range of options and payment models to suit their client base.

“Research shows that organisations spend anywhere from one to six per cent of their annual revenues on office copying and printing. It's clear that offices still tend to print a lot of pages unnecessarily. It's time for businesses to rethink the way they deal with paper. Lexmark Print Management is the key to helping cut paper waste and improve printing efficiency,” said Danny Molhoek, Country General Manager at Lexmark UK & Ireland. “This gives our partners the tools they need to implement and streamline an output environment by helping to reduce unnecessary printing while providing greater mobility and productivity for the end users.”
