Channel Territory Sales Manager (Contract)

The Channel Territory Sales Manager role is a temporary 12 month contract position and is part of a rapidly growing division within Lexmark focused on selling into Office Equipment Dealerships which Lexmark views as a strategic part of their business.  In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing SMB (Hardware, Solutions and Services) revenue within an assigned territoryThe position will be based in Calgary with travel requirements within North America.

The successful candidate will be an experienced and dynamic individual with a proven track record in selling Output Solutions through dealer programs.

 Major Responsibilities:

 Develop and maintain senior relationships within assigned territory

  • Build new business through prospecting and recruiting of new partners
  • Manage, plan, and execute all national sales and operational activities, training events (including service), and marketing opportunities
  • Strategically influence dealers in the open market to sell Lexmark's offerings through joint calls, lead generation, and follow-up
  • Provide education and training of Lexmark's offerings to ALL partners within the territory
  • Work with the Lexmark marketing team to promote all programs to resellers and Small and Medium Size End-users
  • Provide accurate forecasting and weekly call activity reports  

 Core capabilities:

 Intimate knowledge of copier dealer network and market

  • Experience is selling solutions and services in SMB market
  • Proven ability to work with partners at the end-user level, identifying industry trends, challenges and opportunities
  • Must be able to identify needs of partners and develop customized training and communications programs
  • Strong relationship building skills along with excellent communication, presentation and persuasion skills


 Minimum 5 years proven sales experience in the copier/IT industry

  • Ability to develop strategic sales and sound business plans for your territory
  • Must be goal-driven and have the ability to work independently
  • Must be PC and printer proficient
  • Strong presentation and listening skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must be willing to travel
