We are seeking a District Manager in the Southern California area (LA, OC, San Diego) or San Francisco or the Bay Area of California who will be responsible for directly leading the sales team that calls on enterprise accounts in California. The District Manager will lead a team consisting of four (4) Account Managers, each managing territories of approximately 25+ named accounts.
The candidate should have proven success in leading teams to sales success in the output management, solutions, and imaging space. The ideal candidate will have experience selling Managed Print Services, Imaging Hardware, and solutions. The candidate will be responsible for leading a team that will initiate, manage, and close significant opportunities in both established large accounts and Target or new business development territories.
We are looking for an individual who has the key skill to develop relationships with multiple Director, VP and C-Level clients across Procurement, IT and Lines of Business. The role requires an individual with demonstrated ability to lead by example with a results focus and a consistent Activity Based Management sales methodology.
This individual will proactively engage with every member of the District assisting and coaching with research, prospecting, “cold calling” (both on the phone, via email and in person), qualifying opportunities and conducting multiple face to face scheduled meetings per week. The candidate must have the ability to deliver Lexmark’s value proposition concisely articulating how the Lexmark technology, software, services and industry specific solutions differentiate us from the competition. The ideal candidate has experience leading formal presentations, beginning with pre-meeting preparation and presentation creation and can provide specific examples of these experiences.
This individual should possess experience developing a solid business case that links the customer’s business objectives to Lexmark’s unique capabilities to solve unstructured information challenges. The ability to effectively position Lexmark’s business process and content management offerings and a proven track record of closing business is extremely important. The role will require that the candidate build and maintain a network of colleagues, partners, and customers to share information and obtain prospects. Travel throughout the US may be required.
The ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:
1. 4 year degree preferred
2. 3 years of technology output sales/sales management experience
3. Workflow, Hardware and/or Solutions Sales Experience a plus
Candidate will be required to travel to all customer locations. No relocation assistance is provided for this position.
