Lexmark brings 4800 dpi technology to the sub-$100 market

Lexmark International, Inc. (NYSE:LXK) today introduced the Lexmark Z45se Color Jetprinter, a replacement to the Z45 Color Jetprinter. For superb photo output, the Z45se features up to 4800 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi) resolution on photo paper. The first to market with 4800 dpi technology following its announcement of the Z65 Color Jetprinter in March 2002, Lexmark continues with this announcement its legacy of bringing advanced technology to consumer-friendly price points.

Designed for home users seeking the ability to produce stunning photo prints, the Windows and Mac compatible Z45se offers outstanding all-around performance and is easy to use. The Z45se boasts a maximum of 4800 x 1200 dpi resolution on photo paper, and is capable of achieving photo-quality resolution of up to 2400 x 1200 dpi on all other paper types including plain paper, iron-on transfers and card stock. Print speeds of up to 15 pages per minute (ppm) in black and up to nine in color, are available on the Z45se.

The $89* Lexmark Z45se Color Jetprinter will be available from retailers such as Best Buy, CompUSA, Office Depot, Staples and Wal-Mart, as well as from Dell. Corporate customers who prefer to purchase through alternate channels can find these printers at Comark, CompuCom, Pomeroy, Boise Cascade Office Products and Corporate Express.
