| Lexmark elevates Rooke to executive vice president | ||

Media Contact : Corporate Communications The board of directors of Lexmark International, Inc. (NYSE: LXK) has elected Paul A. Rooke executive vice president. Rooke has served as a Lexmark vice president and president of its Printing Solutions and Services Division since December 1999. His responsibilities as division president will continue. “Paul Rooke is a gifted executive who combines managerial leadership with a deep understanding of Lexmark’s products and services,” said Paul J. Curlander, Lexmark’s chairman and chief executive officer. “Over the past five years, Lexmark has made significant progress in the printing industry, and Paul’s vision has contributed greatly to that success.” Rooke, 44, joined Lexmark at the company’s inception in 1991 and has held various management and executive positions, including president of the Business Printer Division, before assuming his current role. He began his career with IBM in 1980 as a manufacturing engineer, later relocating to IBM’s Lexington, Ky., facility in 1984. Rooke holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Kentucky.
