Lexmark International, Inc. (NYSE: LXK) today introduced the Lexmark N4050e , a low-cost print server providing wireless networking capabilities for both personal and workgroup printers. Aimed at small and medium businesses, the Lexmark N4050e offers the right mix of wireless technology, security and compatibility to meet the needs of today’s changing network environments.

Leading market research firms project rapid growth of 802.11g wireless printing over the next year. In anticipation of this trend, Lexmark’s N4050e is a well-positioned offering of 802.11g technology for USB connected printers. The Lexmark N4050e also offers the latest Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) security at a price accommodating small budgets. In addition to offering the latest technology, the Lexmark N4050e leads in compatibility, supporting wireless printing on a broader range of inkjet printers than any competitive product.

“With the anticipated high demand for wireless printing, Lexmark is excited to offer the N4050e to our customers,” said Paul Rooke, Lexmark executive vice president and president of its Printing Solutions and Services Division. “Besides offering small and medium businesses a low-cost, wireless print server, Lexmark is providing value-conscious customers a high level of protection with the same security features found in many enterprise environments.”
