Lexmark International, Inc. (NYSE: LXK) today introduced a powerful new office laser printer that is designed for general-purpose printing for small workgroups. The Lexmark T430  is ideal for small and medium businesses and small workgroups in large enterprises requiring business-class paper handling and versatility.

The Lexmark T430  is a class leader in a host of categories, including best price/performance, highest rated print speed, and fastest time to first page. The powerful combination of superior performance, affordable acquisition price and low cost of ownership make the Lexmark T430 one of the most productive and efficient tools in the office.

“Lexmark is extremely proud to offer a workgroup printer with the affordability and flexibility of the Lexmark T430,” said Paul Rooke, Lexmark executive vice president and president of its Printing Solutions and Services Division. “The T430 offers the performance, versatility and ease of use that make it an essential part of any small workgroup environment.”

Powerful
Complex print jobs are no problem for the Lexmark T430 due to its print speed of up to 32 pages per minute (ppm) and 366 MHz processor. The Lexmark T430 offers new instant-on fusing technology and prints the critical first page in a class-leading eight seconds.

To further enhance user productivity while reducing network traffic, the Lexmark T430 features direct PDF printing which allows the customer to quickly and easily send their PDF documents directly to the printer without accessing the printer driver.

Versatile
The small footprint and low profile of the Lexmark T430 make it a great fit for small workspaces, while being durable enough to handle a monthly print volume of up to 65,000 pages. The optional 250-sheet and 500-sheet stackable drawers add paper capacity for customer convenience and the automatic duplexing on select models further reduces cost by saving paper. The high-yield, 12,000 page cartridge reduces user intervention, driving higher productivity.

Easy to Use and Secure Printing
The backlit operator panel on the Lexmark T430 allows users and network administrators to easily select printer settings and receive printer status information.  The Lexmark T430 also offers secure printing capabilities with the optional PrintCryption card, which provides corporate environments with a new level of remote print security, allowing confidential information to be securely transmitted over a TCP/IP network.

Lexmark also announced today a new platform that allows for secure wireless printing in enterprises. Lexmark’s 802.11g Wireless Print Adapter is five times faster than the previous generation of technology and enables true mobile printing by allowing users to place a printer exactly where it is needed.

“The new 802.11g Wireless Print Adapter is a testament to our innovation and a result of our exclusive focus on printing solutions,” said Rooke. “Combined with the Lexmark T430, our ability to deliver fast and secure wireless printing is further proof of the superiority of Lexmark’s technology.”
