Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI), a leading independent printer testing laboratory, has recognized Lexmark International, Inc. (NYSE: LXK) monochrome and color laser printers and monochrome multifunction products with Spring Pick of the Year awards.

The Lexmark E120n monochrome laser, the Lexmark C524dtn color laser and the Lexmark X646dte and X854e monochrome multifunction laser printers were all recognized as industry-leading devices by the publication.

The Lexmark E120n is an up to 20 pages per minute (ppm) networked device available for an estimated street price of $149*. "This device provides great efficiency, very good image quality and excellent ease of use," BLI said.

For users that also need color capabilities, the Lexmark C524dtn is "an outstanding and economical choice for small workgroups," according to BLI. The Lexmark C524dtn offers high quality color output and fast performance with print speeds up to 20 ppm in both monochrome and color. It is available for an estimated street price of $1,299*.

The Lexmark X646dte, available for an estimated street price of $3,449*, features a large, vivid color touch screen interface that allows users to simplify complicated business processes to the touch of an icon. "The control panel design, with its large customizable color touch screen, is the best we've seen on printer-based multifunction products to date," BLI said. The Lexmark X646dte give users the ability to print, copy, scan and fax from one device and offers print speeds up to 50 ppm with duplexing standard.

For users in large workgroups that print high volumes and also need wide-format printing capabilities, the Lexmark X854e features the same user interface and functionality as the Lexmark X646dte, but prints at speeds up to 55 ppm and offers more paper handling capabilities and a higher duty cycle. It is available for an estimated street price of $11,099*.
