Lexmark International, Inc. (NYSE: LXK) today unveiled a new advertising campaign that highlights the company’s deep and proven experience helping some of the world’s leading companies to be more productive. The television commercial, produced by the Doner agency, features an elaborate choreography of real and computer-generated printers in motion as though they are “going to work” – commuting via cars, buses and subways, hurrying in crosswalks, and on escalators and elevators en route to the office. “Every day, Lexmark printers go to work for some of the world’s most important companies. In fact, 75 percent of the leading banks, retailers and pharmacies use Lexmark to print smarter, save money and get more done. Maybe it’s time to put Lexmark to work for your important company,” the advertising says. A variation to be aired later this year also highlights home office printers. “This is the next step in the evolution of our brand story,” said Paul J. Curlander, Lexmark chairman and chief executive officer. “The commercials speak to potential enterprise and small business customers by calling attention to our proven track record of helping world-class companies to be more productive and they also make it clear that we deliver business-class performance in home offices as well.” In addition to the expertise in financial services, retail and pharmacy referenced in the television advertising, Lexmark has deep industry expertise in the manufacturing, government, education, health care and legal industries. Lexmark’s consultants have unique insights about issues facing each industry and can help customers develop customized output strategies through which they can optimize not only printing devices, but also their workflow and business processes. The television commercial and related radio and print advertising will be shown in selected markets. The television campaign will feature two 30-second spots that will begin airing in the U.S. on September 12. The spots can be viewed at http://ad.lexmark.com/goingtowork.
