Lexmark International, Inc. (NYSE: LXK) has achieved ISO 14001 certification for all of its manufacturing facilities as a result of the recent certification of the company’s laser printer supplies manufacturing operations in Juárez, Mexico. ISO 14001 is a stringent global standard established by the International Organization for Standardization that sets the framework for environmental management systems. The standard seeks to help companies minimize the environmental impact caused by their activities while continually improving environmental performance. “Operating in an environmentally sensitive manner is one of the cornerstones of our commitment to corporate social responsibility. The achievement of ISO 14001 certification for all of our manufacturing sites demonstrates this commitment in a meaningful and tangible way,” said Paul J. Curlander, Lexmark chairman and chief executive officer. For more information on Lexmark and the environment, visit http://environment.lexmark.com.
