VARBusiness, a leading channel publication, is recognizing Lexmark International, Inc. (NYSE: LXK) as a leading innovator in printing and imaging. 

Based on voting by channel partners and editors of VARBusiness, the Lexmark X644e monochrome laser multifunction printer (MFP) was named 2006 Tech Innovator Product of the Year in the printing and imaging category. In addition, Lexmark was named runner-up for 2006 Innovative Company of the Year, finishing second only to IBM among 300 other technology companies.

Both awards were presented at CMP Media's XChange Tech Innovator Conference in Huntington Beach, Calif., and acknowledged the top technical innovation and development efforts of the year. Product of the Year awards were given in 13 different technology categories, which ranged from voice and data networking to software infrastructure, and the Company of the Year award encompassed all 13 categories.

The Lexmark X644e features an award-winning design with a vivid, eight-inch color touchscreen interface that can be customized to help users simplify complicated workflow processes to the touch of an icon. It delivers impressive performance, printing at speeds up to 50 pages per minute, and allows users to print, copy, scan, and fax from the same device. Priced at $2,499*, the Lexmark X644e gives customers affordable access to powerful multifunction technology to help increase productivity, reduce costs and make processes more efficient.
