Lexmark is demonstrating its commitment to resellers that sell to the public sector by offering a series of promotions through the beginning of 2002. Lexmark has increased its ongoing 5% rebate, available to all resellers selling into the public sector throughout the year, on specific products purchased through distribution:
Resellers supplying through Gcat2 can also take advantage of these offers. The Lexmark T5XX and T6XX laser monochrome printers are designed for small to medium-sized businesses and are ideal for local government offices. The print speeds of between 20 and 40 pages per minute (ppm) and the 9 to 10 second time-to-first-print mean documents can be processed quickly. Both the Lexmark T5XX and T6XX printers feature a free, enhanced version of Lexmark’s MarkVision Professional software which helps to make installation and configuration easier, and enables the user to manage the printer function from the desktop, server or remotely from a website. The confidential print feature is ideal for printing government documents. A PIN number is allocated to users of shared network printers and only when this number is typed into the operator panel will the document be printed. This avoids the need for personal printers alongside network printers within an organisation. Local government offices can manage their assets better using MarkVision Professional. One way this can help is to remove the need for storage of supplies by setting up an alert to inform them when toner is low enabling supplies to be purchased as required. Multi-function printers, which combine print, copy, fax and scan capabilities, also help to reduce running costs and create more space. Jane Cronin, marketing and channels director for Lexmark said: "This promotion, alongside the 5% rebate scheme we offer to all resellers throughout the year, illustrates Lexmark's continued support of resellers who sell to the public sector." *The Terms and Conditions are as follows:
