Terms & Conditions governing Reseller sales of Lexmark Extended Warranties.
Highlights
For Extended LexExpress/LexOnSite:
- Reseller reimbursement fees for sale of extended warranties are 25% of the current Lexmark list prices.
- The reseller may elect to refer the customer to Lexmark in which case there is no reimbursement fee paid to the reseller.
- Authorized Lexmark resellers in the U.S. and Puerto Rico are eligible to receive the 25% reimbursement fee.
- Extended warranties from 1 to 4 years may be renewed to provide coverage for up to 5 years from the date of original purchase of the Lexmark printer product.
- The initial extended warranty must be purchased during the initial warranty period.
- Renewals must be received by Lexmark prior to the expiration of previous Lexmark extended warranties.
- Lexmark reserves the right to reject any application for extended warranties.
Note: There are no reseller reimbursement fees for sale of LexOnSite upgrades.
Reseller Responsibilities
- Collect payment from customer.
- Return completed Order Form (see page A-3), proof of printer purchase and payment in the amount of the current Lexmark list price less the reseller reimbursement fee, to Lexmark, or
- Return completed Order Form, proof of printer purchase and billing instructions to Lexmark. Lexmark will bill the reseller for an amount equal to the current Lexmark list price less the reseller reimbursement fee.
Lexmark Responsibilities
- Accept or reject the order based, without limitation, upon the terms and conditions shown on the reverse side of the customer's copy of the Order Form.
- If accepted: Send the customer a Certificate of Registration confirming the extended warranty.
- If rejected: Send the customer notification containing reason for rejection, and any refund payment to the reseller.
- Provide service during the period of extended warranty as described in the terms and conditions.
Note: Extended warranties will be effective when Lexmark accepts the order and the original warranty ends.
