This program is designed to meet the service needs of large end users who prefer to perform their own service from the original warranty period through all extended warranty periods. The standard requirement to qualify for the program is a minimum of 100 printers with valid original warranties or a commitment to purchase such a quantity within a reasonable time to bring the inventory up to a similar level.
Only companies desiring to perform service during the whole original warranty period are eligible for this program. Companies who perform service after the original warranty has expired do not need our permission or authorization, and, therefore, do not qualify for the Self-Maintainer Program.
This is a subscription program with a one-time Service Program Fee of $799.00 and an annual Service Library Subscription Fee of $999.00. The one-time, start-up fee is waived for state, local and federal government agencies, non-profit and education organizations. Payment of these fees will entitle the Self-Maintainer to receive a Service Library kit containing training CD, Parts Catalog CD's, Service Support Guide CD, and training manuals. Quarterly updates will be provided at no extra cost. In addition, the Self-Maintainer will receive free technical support from Lexmark and in turn provide technical support to its own field service staff. The Self-Maintainer is responsible for providing the Program Administrator in Lexington with a list of the product model numbers, serial numbers and dates of product acquisition for all in-warranty printers.
