Send a fax

Before you send a fax, first make sure:

Your All-In-One is attached to a computer with a modem.

You have a fax software application installed in your computer.

You set the fax software to send a fax. Refer to your fax application documentation for more information.

1. Load your document on the scanner glass.
2. Open the Lexmark All-In-One Center.
3. From the Device pop-up menu, select 5200 Series.

   Note:

   The Device pop-up menu is available only when several All-In-Ones are installed on your computer.

4. Select the Scan tab.
5. From the How will the scan be used? pop-up menu, choose To fax.
6. From the Send scanned images to pop-up menu, choose Fax.

Select Prompt for multiple pages if you have multiple pages to scan.

7. Click Scan. The fax software dialog appears on your computer screen.
8. Follow the instructions on screen to send your fax.
