Performing maintenance tasks from the control panel

You can perform maintenance tasks using the Control panel.

1. Press Mode until the Copy, Scan, or Photo Card light comes on.
2. Press Menu.
3. From the Copy menu, the Scan menu, or the Photo menu, use the up and down arrows to scroll to Maintenance. From here, you can:
   • Check ink levels.
   • Change cartridges.
   • Align cartridges.
   • Clean cartridges.
   • Print a test page.
4. From the Maintenance submenu, you can move on to the Defaults submenu to:
   • Restore factory settings. For more information, see Resetting the All-In-One default settings.
   • Select a language for the control panel display text.
   • Choose a power save mode. The options are 10 minutes, 20 minutes, or 30 minutes.
   • Clear control panel settings (Copy menu only). The options are After 2 Minutes or Never.
