Scanning a portion of an image
You can scan certain portions of an image or a document using the cropping function of the Scan dialog. This option is good for scanning logos, parts of a magazine page, or sections of a photo.
- Load an original document on the scanner glass.
- Open the Lexmark 4300 Series Center.
- Click Preview/Edit. The original document is scanned, and the Scan dialog appears.
- Follow the instructions in Cropping photos using Auto-crop and Cropping photos manually to scan only a selected portion of the photo or document.
The cropped image is saved to File or sent to an application for editing.
