Better Buys for Business, an independent reviewer of document imaging equipment, has selected Lexmark International, Inc.'s (NYSE: LXK) new X500n and X502n color laser multifunction products (MFPs) as Editor's Choice award winners. These products are being introduced today.
"The new Lexmark X500n and X502n are ideal for small businesses and workgroups that need affordable access to high-quality color printing, copying and scanning," said Paul Rooke, Lexmark executive vice president and president of its Printing Solutions and Services Division. "We are pleased these products are receiving this recognition concurrent with their introduction."
The Lexmark X500n and X502n desktop color laser MFPs feature impressive quality, speed and features for prices starting at $499*. The Lexmark X500n offers print, copy and scan capabilities and the best price performance in its class**, printing at speeds up to eight pages per minute (ppm) in color and 31 ppm in monochrome. It has the fastest processor, the fastest time to first print and the highest aftermarket toner yields in its class. For customers who frequently copy multi-page color jobs, the X500n also features a 35-sheet automatic document feeder that enables it to deliver color copies up to twice as fast as the leading competitor. The Lexmark X502n adds fax capabilities and is available for $699*.
Better Buys said these MFPs are "just right" to support a small workgroup's text-heavy and occasional color printing needs.
Lexmark’s monochrome laser MFPs were also given top honors from Better Buys. The Lexmark X342n, an Editor's Choice award winner, gives customers the convenience of printing, copying, faxing and scanning through one networked device that can be easily shared by multiple users. Its small footprint makes the device ideal for customers who want fast, multifunction performance where space is at a premium. The Lexmark X342n prints at speeds up to 27 ppm for an estimated street price of $399*.
In addition, Better Buys gave Editor's Choice awards to the Lexmark X646e, X646dte, X646ef, X850e and X854e monochrome laser MFPs.
The Lexmark X646e, Lexmark X646dte and Lexmark X646ef offer print and copy speeds up to 50 ppm as well as fax and scan capabilities for estimated prices ranging from $2,999* to $4,449*.
The Lexmark X850e, priced at $10,799*, and Lexmark X854e, priced at $16,999*, feature print speeds ranging from 35 ppm up to 55 ppm and can handle tabloid-size paper. They also offer extensive input, output and finishing options to meet the needs of large workgroups.
