The Lexmark Bar Code Card supports more than 47 industry standard, one- and two-dimensional bar codes, including MaxiCode and PDF 417. With this card, users can create laser quality bar codes on demand.
Off-loading bar code generation to the printer reduces server processing time, lowers network traffic and decreases the chance for errors. By generating these bar codes in the printer, the Lexmark Bar Code Card allows you to produce better quality, more readable and more easily scalable bar codes than creating bar codes with applications and sending them to the printer. The Lexmark Bar Code Card can be combined with other Lexmark applications, such as Optra Forms, to substantially improve general workflow and the appearance and quality of all printed documents.
The Visual Bar Code Designer, included with the Lexmark Bar Code Card, saves hours of programming time by simplifying bar code design. The utility enables users to simply choose the bar code type and characteristics, and the desired bar code PCL or HEX data can be copied and pasted directly into the desired application.
