Lexmark Inkjet Printhead Information

Lexmark recognizes that some of its inkjet all-in-one customers may be experiencing issues with their print quality, including the display of a “printhead error” message. We take our customers’ user experience very seriously, and we strive to ensure that each time a customer prints using a Lexmark device the page is crisp, clear and up to the highest standards.

If you are having print quality issues or are experiencing printhead error messages, you may have been impacted from a printhead issue affecting a limited number of Lexmark devices. Customer service agents are available to help diagnose and resolve any issue you may have. To get the best printing experience possible with your Lexmark product, we highly recommend upgrading your firmware.*

Your satisfaction with your Lexmark device is our primary concern, and we are committed to quickly correcting these issues.

* For the most optimal output experience with your AIO, Lexmark recommends that its customers update their firmware. The firmware helps ensure that customers receive the highest yields of ink available from the cartridges, which offers the greatest value and means fewer necessary cartridge replacements. Please note that updating your firmware may restrict the use of unauthorized/clone inkjet cartridges, but it will not impact your ability to use genuine Lexmark supplies.

When purchasing ink cartridges, Lexmark customers have two options:

Regular ink cartridges without license terms that they may a) return to Lexmark free of charge (for recycling by Lexmark), b) refill, recycle or remanufacture themselves, or c) provide to third parties for refilling, recycling, or remanufacturing. Any Regular ink cartridge can be refilled by a customer or a third party and will continue to work in their Lexmark printer.

Return Program ink cartridges that provide customers with an up-front discount in exchange for their agreement to use the ink cartridge once and return it only to Lexmark for remanufacturing and recycling.
