SENIOR FINANCE ANALYST

Job Purpose/Mission/Summary

The Senior Finance Analyst is expected to support all Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) responsibilities.  The incumbent is responsible for undertaking planning and budgeting, business case analysis, pricing and all financial information required by the business.  It is the interface between Sales and the Operations teams, providing financial advice to drive operational excellence, policy governance and improve profitability.  

Responsibilities also include taking ownership and accountability in the execution of business process management and improvements. Like (a) BS & PnL Review both for internal & Statutory books; (b) Inventory Management; (c) Operations & Admin support; and (d) other Adhoc reports.  

Competencies:

  • Technical:
    • Manage a full P&L for Korea & Japan business
    • Knowledge of Korea multi-element accounting
    • Knowledge of US GAAP and local country GAAP
    • Exposure to pricing
    • Strong governance background
    • Financial modeling and business case analyses
  • Soft:
    • Ability to communicate in business Korean both spoken and written is preferred but not a must
    • Business acumen and creative solution within risk appetite.
    • Ability to impact and influence to help drive strategy, culture and discipline decision making
    • Independent
    • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional and cultural collaborative skills
    • Intellectual curiosity and strong motivation to grow with the organization
    • Ability to set priorities and work under tight deadline

Experience/Expectations:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a Finance operations role within a sales and marketing multinational company environment.
  • Relevant IT industry is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Accounting. CPA preferred.
  • Ability to handle systems/tools as a user
  • In-depth Analysis with ability to pick up abnormal trends
  • Proactive to resolve issues / remove roadblocks
  • Intermediate knowledge in Excel applications
  • Analytical thinking - Identity, assess risk and develop risk migration plan
  • Ability to keep sensitive information and appropriately deliver the same only to relevant individuals as required accordingly.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and cross-functional and cultural collaborative skills
  • Demonstrates adaptability to changing business & change management needs
