CHANNEL DATA MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Setup of new reporting partners. This includes the creation of the profile and the mapping of the data provided to the Global Template. This will first be done in QA so we can verify the partner can provide the data consistently in a set format and so the country can validate the data provided. Once verified the same setup will be done in production. The setup will involve working directly with the partners and country key users.
  • Daily monitoring to verify the partners reporting match what was expected.
  • Follow up with partners when they do not report when expected and research any unexpected files that are reported. The follow up and research will involve working directly with the partners and country key users.
  • Conducts daily cleansing of data errors. Errors can be solved through systematic research from available search engines, the MDM master data and SAP transactional data. Analytical thinking is key in successful and efficient data cleansing ensuring relevant data coincides with each other from limited data sources. In some situations it will involve working directly with the partners and country key users.
  • Analyzing data with standard methods, interpreting the results, and ensuring high quality & integrity of the data collected. As issues are identified rules can be setup that fix data quality issues automatically. Examples of these are part substitution rules, removal of prefixes and removal of suffixes.
  • Timely escalation of data anomalies to partners and country key users especially involving large data source.
  • Participates in ongoing decisions concerning data collections and data analysis.
  • Ensure quick coordination and problem resolution of all CDM data issues. Timing is essential as it affects timely rebate/commissions processing and accuracy of channel performance reports.
  • Periodic review of the data quality and partner scorecards reports to determine specific partner action plans to improve data collection.

Responsible for maximizing revenue with existing customers by understanding customer demand and managing all operational aspects for customers. Analyzes customer forecasts and historical shipment records to detect changes in demand. Contacts customer to discuss demand trends and maximize sales of products. Monitors inventory levels and shipment activity.

Job Purpose/Mission/Summary:

  • CDM Team is responsible for the collection, correction of errors in the CDM Portal, completeness and timeliness of channel reported data (sales out, inventory and retail reports) by doing analysis, validation and cleansing.
  • This is a significant aspect for Lexmark to make sound decisions related to sales, accuracy in commissions, sales and marketing analysis and forecasting and rebates payout.

Education, Experience & Certifications Basic Requirements:

  • Education: Preferably a graduate of Bachelor of Science, with focus on business related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year relevant work experience.
  • Licenses & Certifications: no minimum requirement
  • WORKING CONDITIONS:
    • Must be agreeable to working off shift
    • Limited international travel will be required (20%-30%)
    • Able to work on any Lexmark geographical time zone.
    • Office setup and occasional offsite (during travel)
