HR BUSINESS PARTNER

Business Area: Human Resources

Responsibilities:

The HR Business Partner is the strategic business partner to the Leadership and Management Team for specified Business Units. They are required to drive the systemic organizational people strategy and agenda for their respective area.

The role is responsible for a variety of human resources programs and policies, often encompassing several areas of human resources, including organizational development, employee and labor relations, recruiting, compensation and benefits or personnel research. Assignments may include development, implementation, and evaluation of programs or policies, and may focus on service delivery within a segment of the organization, providing advice and recommendations. May work with or manage external vendors to develop, administer, and/or evaluate programs.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Business Partner : Key member of the Philippine HR Team. Works closely to align the HR strategy to the business strategy for the assigned Business Unit. Works closely with Business Unit leadership
  • Governance and compliance: Ensures all employees’ in the respective business unit have a consistent experience. Ensures that corporate governance is adhered to across the business. Ensures all international/local legal requirements are adhered to.
  • Talent retention: Understands the talent needs of the business and identifies talent issues before they affect the business unit.
  • Performance Management: Facilitates effective performance management process.
  • Change Agent : Understands the business strategy, plays the role of coach and adviser to business partners to facilitate organization and cultural change. Adjusts HR Strategies to respond to changing market conditions. Educates business leaders on HR trends that affect the business.
  • Employee Advocate : Builds management capability to facilitate an open, inclusive, Lexmark Values based environment which enables effective employee advocacy.
  • Serves and is perceived as a safe, objective employee resource and escalation path for unresolved employee relations issues.
  • Ensures labor legal requirements are respected.
  • Processes / Projects: Supports and drives implementation of core HR programs into the business unit, ensuring an effective, sustainable people agenda over the long term.
  • Identifying critical HR metrics:
    • Partners with HR team and peers to develop business relevant solutions by integrating HR initiatives.
    • Monitors and has knowledge of all HR processes and associated tools (e.g. staffing, training, salary review, C&B, promotion plans, contracts, etc.).
    • External Partners management - Manages HR external partners / advisors as required.

Qualifications:

  • A graduate of any four year course preferably in Psychology, Business Management or Engineering. Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management is preferred.
  • 6 - 8 years post Master’s Degree HR generalist experience or with 6 - 10 years direct applicable Senior HR Generalist experience in a multinational company or publicly listed Company.
  • Employee engagement strategy
  • Possesses overall HR Specialist knowledge i.e. Comp & Ben, Staffing
  • Knowledgeable on the Labor Code
  • Cross cultural exposure would be advantageous
  • Assertive and able to influence stake holders on difficult issues
  • Very good analytical skills.
  • Above average communication skills, good planning and interpersonal skills.
  • Very proficient MS – Excel skills and presentation skills.
  • Must be willing to relocate to Cebu.
