IT - APPLICATION SUPPORT ANALYST

Job Purpose/Mission/Summary

Translate business requirements into technical specification. Provides requirements elicitation. Proactively gather and interpret business requirements into detailed functional and non-functional specification. Maintains and supports applicable enterprise applications. This includes serving in the following two key support capacities: (1) Second-level support and (2) Supporting ES&I corp team towards continuous improvement to all assign enterprise application.

Key Roles/ Job Functions:

  • PRODUCTION SUPPORT AND DEVELOPMENT of Local & Enterprise Applications
    • Bug / Configuration Fixes
    • Configures and makes changes in system
    • Helps identify and resolve issues
    • Acts as tier 2 support for Incident management both local apps and assigned enterprise apps
    • Works with appropriate business users and IT technical resources to ensure efficient and effective resolution of errors
    • Repository of expert knowledge in local and assign enterprise processes
    • Maintains and updates process and training documentations
    • Develops reports for operational and performance analysis.
  • SUPPORT AND DEVELOPMENT OF Both Local & Enterprise Applications
    • Obtains understanding of local apps and/or assign enterprise apps to support business requirements and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Minor Change Requests
    • Provides system design and implementation methodology expertise
    • Reviews proposed design solutions to identify impacts
    • Reviews and assess enterprise apps applicability to business requirements.
    • Projects, upgrades and assign enterprise apps quarterly releases
    • Provides support for assign enterprise apps releases and upgrades, which includes understanding changes and managing related testing requirement before implementation into production environments
    • Supports implementation
    • Business Roll-outs
    • Testing o Admin-user program management
    • User training

Competencies, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • SUPPORT AND DEVELOPMENT OF ENTERPRISE and Local APPLICATIONS
    • Knowledge in Web apps(LAMP, WAMP, .net & others), System Admin, Programming skills and SDLC model
    • Knowledge and proficiency in key tools/systems such as but not limited to; ServiceNow, Microsoft Office 365 applications, AWS, Azure, Teams, Automation Anywhere and the like.
  • PRODUCTION SUPPORT
    • Appropriate level of services knowledge to effectively understand and support processes
    • Able to communicate technical information to non-technical audience
    • Good analytical (root cause analysis) and problem-solving skills
  • PERSONAL CREDIBILITY
    • Able to work in a cross-functional team with diverse background
    • Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize items in order to complete tasks efficiently and within expected timelines.
    • Good project management skills
    • Effective training and work session facilitation capabilities
    • Effective English language skills, verbal and written communications.

Education, Experience & Certifications Basic Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science Degree
  • Experience: Web apps(LAMP, WAMP, .net & others), System Admin and SDLC model within and/or outside Lexmark. ITIL, Project Management and Azure Certification is an advantage
