We are hiring a Product Planner who will enable successful product deliveries and support Lexmark's main revenue stream through organizational leadership, information management, and information infrastructure ownership. 

The role is part of a global and highly cross functional team spanning across Lexmark’s business functions that include R&D, Portfolio Management Supply Chain, Professional Services, Sales, and Marketing to shepherd Lexmark’s brand and product life cycle.

Product Planner’s value-add to the organization:

  • Drive business checkpoint process to ensure that programs meet schedule and financial targets.
  • Coordinate with internal business areas to align product and delivery requirements.
  • Establish information source-of-record (ex. Product information files, Top Level Indicator, Branch Plants, etc.)
  • Support the Product and Process Delivery Lifecycle (PPDL) set-up.

Accountable for the following main product development activities:

  • Collaborate with program teams on various models and product Plan of Record definitions.
  • Active engagement in Cross Functional Teams and leadership meetings.
  • Publish and/or revise product Plan of Record (POR) as part of development checkpoints.
  • Define factory models with New Product Introduction Engineers and Supply Chain.
  • Provide input for bundle creation.
  • Works with Design Center team in the artwork requirements, delivery, and release to manufacturing.
  • Creation, revision, and release of Product Information File (PIF).
  • Works with Firmware, Software, and Hardware teams in the Royalty Bearing Items.
  • Ensure accuracy in the setting of Procure values in SAP.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree holder in engineering, information technology and other related fields with strong focus on product development and planning.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Product Development familiarity.
  • Ability to develop and execute project plans.
  • Knowledgeable in preparing product information documents and other related technical documentation as required.
  • Ability to analyze complex ideas or requirements and distill them into functional sustainable processes.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work with and across various groups and levels of management within the organization.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and be adaptable to changing project needs and requirements.
  • Proven leadership among superiors, peers, and subordinates.
  • Must have a continuous improvement/learning mindset.
  • Ability to influence others towards a common goal.
  • Proactive, self-initiated, self-motivated, and persistent behavior.
