Federal Civilian Account Manager (DOJ and FBI) - Washington, D.C.

We are seeking a Federal Civilian Account Manager who will be responsible for generating sales within Federal Civilian agencies such as Dept. of Justice, FBI, DEA, Federal Systems Integrators, and others. The individual will be responsible for Federal agencies primarily located in the Washington, D.C area.

This is a direct customer facing role with emphasis on developing new customers and driving Profitable Revenue Growth – from Lexmark’s portfolio of Hardware, Software, Solutions, & Services. It requires a high level of daily activities including cold calling, briefings, workshops, studies, demonstrations, and proposals. The Account Manager builds and maintains a strong presence within all named accounts and develops a network of colleagues, partners, resellers and solution providers to help close new business. Creates new opportunities and is directly involved in developing and presenting products, solutions and/or services that specifically address customer's needs. Demonstrates strong knowledge of the company’s entire product line and offerings.

Experience and skills needed:

  • Identifying, qualifying, developing, proposing & closing opportunities with new customers.
  • Minimum expectation is to achieve annual revenue objectives.
  • Strong core prospecting sales skills, including effective strategic questioning techniques
  • Plan, organize, develop, and complete a complex proposal response. 
  • Expertise to create and identify demand, deliver solutions and value to end user customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage all phases and resources involved in a complex sales cycle.
  • Skilled at defining current state total cost of operation, and developing key pricing elements.
  • High degree of proficiency using Salesforce, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MS-Word.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in and/or selling to the Federal Government is preferred.
  • 3-5  years of demonstrated history of success generating opportunities and driving revenue in new accounts a plus
  • Bachelor degree preferred, advanced degree a plus

Travel:

  • Extensive travel is required to call on customers in the Washington, D.C. area, or other areas in the US as needed.
