The Global Strategic Sourcing Category Manager – Real Estate is responsible for managing spend, its suppliers, internal stakeholders and the sourcing strategy specific to corporate real estate, related occupancy costs of energy, utilities, services etc and MRO. The assigned spend category constitutes significant opportunity with global responsibility. Scope of the role includes strategic sourcing, sourcing execution, and supplier management. The Strategic Sourcing Category Manager – Real Estate is responsible for implementing strategic initiatives and sourcing strategies to reduce spend, improve value, ensure legal compliance and maintain sources of supply.
Through the management of global, cross-functional teams, the Strategic Sourcing Category Manager – Real Estate is responsible for driving the creation of a formal sourcing strategy for review and approval by key stakeholders and the Lexmark leadership team.
The sphere of influence can extend to category managers, peers, team members, geos, corporate functions and key business stakeholders to engage their support for strategy approval and implementation. The Strategic Sourcing Category Manager Real Estate has oversight regarding the supplier selection, relationships with suppliers and is responsible for commercial aspects including negotiations, contracts, partnerships and supplier performance management. The Strategic Sourcing Manager – Real Estate insures delivery against savings targets at required quality and service levels.
Advises and guides internal business partners through the end-to-end acquisition process to procure goods and services that achieve the internal business partners' intended outcomes around customer experience and profitability
Performs market analysis to help identify suppliers and locations which produce the most favorable financial and operational outcomes for internal business partners
Leads the cross functional team to determine the business and technical requirements and drafts necessary language to translate them into RFXs for distribution to suppliers
Drives all aspects of complex strategic sourcing RFP's and direct contract negotiation processes and leads negotiations of business and pricing terms
Responsible for end to end elements of the sourcing process in order to drive consensus on critical supplier selection actions
Solves complex problems to ensure business and financial issues result in sound decisions
Works with clients to resolve supplier related business issues
Stays current with industry trends, and becomes a trusted advisor to internal clients.
Presents new products, technologies and services from existing or new suppliers to clients.
5+ years of experience in operating in a global business.
