This position is based in the Washington, DC area and is responsible for generating sales with Federal Civilian Agencies such as the US Courts, Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and various Federal Systems Integrators (FSI). This is a direct customer-facing role with emphasis on developing new customers and driving new revenue. This position requires a high level of daily activities including cold-calling, face to face meetings, briefings, workshops, studies, demonstrations, proposals, etc.
The Federal Account Manager builds and maintains a strong presence within their assigned agencies and develops a network of colleagues, partners, resellers and solutions providers to help generate and close business. Creates new opportunities and is directly involved in developing and presenting products, solutions and/or services that specifically address customer's needs. Demonstrates strong knowledge of the company’s entire product line and offerings.
This position requires strong complex selling skills and the ability to work with all Lexmark resources to drive business. This position also requires the ability to develop new cold accounts. The major areas of responsibility are as follows:
