Human Resources Business Partner

We are seeking a dynamic Human Resources professional with proven success as a solutions-minded business partner in our Boulder Manufacturing location.  This position supports 160+ employees in a chemical manufacturing facility, which includes the specialties of engineering, research and development, maintenance as well as all levels of management.  Our consultative, customer-centric approach to Human Resources is vital to our success.

This role has an emphasis on employee relations while also partnering with site management in the attainment of Lexmark’s business objectives that are concurrent with sound human resources practices. In addition to employee relations, you will provide training, counsel, and solid business solutions centered on people management. You will be responsible for management of the medical department including Workers’ Compensation, OSHA logs, and contracting with external occupational health providers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Function as an integral HR business partner with local management team
• Coach and counsel managers and associates on human resource issues
• Facilitate conflict resolution between appropriate parties
• Ensure compliance and consistency with all company policies, procedures and practices
• Coordinate and assist with the performance management process and any issues that may arise
• Assist with promotions and salary administration
• Special projects and assignments when required
• Manage all aspects of the medical department for the facility
• Utilize the assistance of one part-time HR resource where appropriate
• Work with senior management to complete annual succession planning process
• Manage the overall site-wide training programs for both managers and employees

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE EXPECTED:
• Minimum of five years of progressive HR experience as a consultative partner
• Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Human Resource Management or Communications; or equivalent education, training and experience
• SPHR & PHR highly desired
• Superior knowledge of state and federal employment laws
• Excellent communication skills including oral, written and be adept at public presentations
• Demonstrated group problem solving, meeting design and facilitation skills
• Ability to work effectively with employees at all organizational levels
• Ability to work independently and to set and achieve goals
• Ability to provide leadership in promoting positive employee relations
• Ability to influence at all organizational levels
• Flexibility and adaptability to change within a fast-paced environment, as well as demonstrated skills and abilities to facilitate organizational change

*This position should be near or at least daily commutable to the Lexmark Boulder location.
