Software User Experience Design Manager
The User Experience Design team at Lexmark focuses on defining and improving interaction designs on information technology products and solutions. Our team consists of interaction designers and researchers who are passionate about making a real difference in users’ experiences with Lexmark products. We strive to use design thinking first to be customer centric in our problem-solving approach. Emphasis will be placed on next generation disruptive infrastructure technologies that support our product value proposition.
As the manager of this team, you will be responsible for driving creative UX design solutions and advocating the value of UX design at Lexmark. A solid understanding of the Lexmark product portfolio and customer needs, strong communication and networking skills, and passion for continuous improvement through effective collaboration will be critical in ensuring personal and team success in this role. This leader will have the ability to adapt quickly to a fast growing and dynamic environment. We will drive design thinking culture and literacy throughout the business and focus on working across functional boundary as one team.
Responsible for creating, evaluating, and modifying prototypes to support software and solutions application development. May develop user profiles, with emphasis on human error control, display issues, visual interaction, physical manipulation, and task and objective analyses. Involved in the development of design concept and implementation, with input regarding user interface design considerations. Develops and applies software design/usability processes in the investigation of technical problems. May produce specifications describing user interfaces and internal structures for products.
