Worldwide Business Development Account Executive

The Worldwide Business Development Account Executive is responsible for new OEM customer acquisition and managing existing OEM customer accounts – customers who use LXK technology in their printers or printing applications and solutions.  Primary responsibility is interfacing with Dev Eng, Legal, Finance, Sales Ops to service OEM customers.

Responsibilities Scope:

  • Global role
  • All products (laser, hardware, supplies, services, software & solutions)
  • Responsible for an annual revenue quota

Key Functions:

  • Sales – Identify partnership opportunities, establish new customer relationships, develop and execute strategies for new and existing accounts
  • Business development –formulate sales and marketing strategies designed to drive new and incremental revenue
  • Price/Contract negotiation & execution

Required skills/abilities:

  • Seasoned sales professional skilled at building impactful relationships and at working across organizational boundaries
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders and drive new partnerships (internal & external)  
  • Familiarity with LXK business model and pricing process
  • Deep understanding of Lexmark technology – hardware/software 
  • Need to have successfully managed medium to high complexity projects

Preferred Background:

  • Sales experience – demonstrated ability to prospect and close business with new customers and build long-term relationships
  • Proven ability in leading cross-functional teams – supply chain/technology/finance and delivering results
  • Global role at HQ

Desired Knowledge/Skills/Experiences for Success in Position:

  • Knowledge of Lexmark technology, markets for laser products, and Lexmark’s value proposition
  • Ability to influence key members within other Lexmark organizations
  • Customer-oriented attitude and actions
  • Ability to understand regional aspects of a global business

Preferred Skills:

  • Deep strengths acquired in an inline role - Sales (or Business Development), R&D, Marketing, Program Management or Operations to understand how we develop, market and sell product
  • Finance role to understand how Lexmark does P&Ls
  • Marketing experience
  • Consumer, enterprise and commercial experience
  • Technical role

Education / Certifications:

  • BA/BS required or comparable experience in lieu of a degree
  • MBA desired
  • Technical degree highly desired
