Business Analyst / Process Improvement Student - NA Indirect Field Service

Business analysis / process improvement opportunity to help identify data trends and anomalies in the NA warranty claims process for Lexmark devices. The student would develop, execute and deliver a cost-savings project to reduce cost associated with parts usage and warranty claims labor payments. Most of the time will be spent analyzing warranty spare parts usage data and identifying cost-savings opportunities within a given framework. Student will be expected to put together an action plan of recommended steps to reduce cost and improve processes for collecting data or changing service partner behavior with warranty claims. Student would also be expected to recommend additional points or modifications to the analysis framework (including improvements to processes and tools) based on their findings.
 
Daily/weekly activity would include:
- Monitor daily and weekly claims placed by Lexmark Service Partners
- Utilize Power BI to extract claims data from the system
- Develop (or use existing) analysis methodologies to identify areas of excessive parts usage or excessive / invalid labor payments in warranty claims
- Review data and concentrate on cost control areas (No Parts Used (during repair), Maintenance Kit Orders, Consumable Orders (Rollers/Pads), Warranty Fraud
- Create reports and presentation materials demonstrating opportunity for cost savings and changing partner behavior
- Create/assist with communication to Lexmark Service Partners
- Participate in and lead meetings with customers / partners to review findings in warranty claims and parts usage analysis
- Other job responsibilities as assigned
 
Ideal student would possess skills:
