Technical Trainer, Learning Experience Designer

The Learning Experience Designer (LXD) will play a key role in architecting a learning program for Lexmark’s Cloud, Software, and IoT technology product portfolio. The learning program will focus on developing and applying technical knowledge of Cloud, Software, and IoT products to be installed in customer environments. The LXD will collaborate with subject matter experts (SME), partners, and stakeholders to analyze learning opportunities and create an interactive learning experience. The learning experience will include some combination of on-line, remote, and/or face to face.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive strategy for Lexmark's technical training learning experience
Architect a learning environment for technical administrators of Lexmark cloud, software, and IoT products.
Create compelling course content and situational learning activities which enhance retention and knowledge transfer.
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Marketing Portfolio managers, and Service Delivery teams to identify target audience’s training needs.
Promote collaboration, partnership and relationships among the participants and stakeholders in the learning design project.

Apply systematic instructional design methodology to develop learning program (ie ADDIE).
Develop measurement strategy to demonstrate effectiveness of learning program.
Communicate effectively in visual, oral, and written form.

EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND:

Ideal candidate will have:

3+ year experience supporting a training organization
Technical skill with Cloud, Software, and / or IoT infrastructure and applications
Exerience with IT solutions partners and understanding of pain points
Ability to translate technical concepts, information, and jargon into nontechnical terms

Ability to write effectively copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard

Critical Skills:

Project management skills
Ability to work cross-functionally with all areas of the business and with partners

Ability to write effectively copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
Excellent skills in MS Office Suite including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. MS Visio and MS Access may be beneficial.

EDUCATION:

Preferred:

BA/BS degree in Business, Technology, Training / Education or equivalent experience
