Sharon Votaw is senior vice president and chief human resources officer for Lexmark International. Her global organization attracts, develops and engages Lexmark’s most valuable resource, its employees, through talent development, strategic communications, compensation and benefits, workforce analytics, and diversity, equity and inclusion.

Votaw joined Lexmark’s human resources department in 2005 and has held a number of roles including HR director for the company's former Enterprise Software division. Before assuming her current role in November 2016, Votaw served as vice president of global compensation, benefits and HRIS. Prior to HR, she spent 13 years in Lexmark’s accounting organization, including serving as U.S. controller.

In 2019 Votaw was appointed to the board of directors for Olsson, a nationally recognized, employee-owned design firm, where she chairs the Compensation Committee.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Kentucky and is a certified public accountant.
