Channel Account Manager

Key responsibilities

  • Engage with partner's sales force to increase Lexmark's mindshare through consistent messaging and demonstration of Lexmark value propositions. These include proper alignment of Lexmark offers and being able to demonstrate the benefits (both partner and customer) of Lexmark's products, services and solutions.
  • Understand competitive environment in designated partners and develop a strategic plan to ensure increased Lexmark presence.
  • Maintain regular contact with the partner executive management team to promote alignment of core strategic goals between Lexmark and the partner.
  • Develop and maintain a full year business plan clearly defining opportunities.
  • Provide accurate and consistent partner information and inventory and financial forecasting information via Lexmark's CRM system
  • Engage Lexmark sales and technical resources to assist partner with end user opportunities.
  • Participate in your customers' strategic business and information technology planning process.
  • Contribute to the company sales planning process by being diligent on forecast, activity planning, sales initiatives, Territory & account planning, opportunity planning, delivering to your quarterly commitments, and actively driving an growing the number of new acquisition accounts that need to be won.
  • Co-ordinate, conduct and participate in sales promotions, campaigns, events, displays and demand generation programs.
  • Monitor competitor activity and report on significant events across your territory.

EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND:

A superior knowledge of strategic and relationship selling and partnering principles is mandatory along with the ability to deliver to revenue targets and personal objectives on a consistent basis

  • A minimum of 5 years in a similar role
  • Consultative and conceptual selling skills
  • Understanding of financials, negotiating contracts
  • Ability to build C level relationships
  • Highly motivated and driven
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Team player, comfortable working in a multi-discipline team including services, product management
  • Ability to develop strong Line of Business relationships to get a clear understanding of clients business and operational challenges.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications preferred.
