MarkVision uses the VNC protocol to provide the ability to view and manipulate device operator panels remotely on supported MFPs. This feature is available only on certain newer MFPs.
Unlike other MarkVision software-to-device communication, which takes place only on the server, the VNC communication in this case takes place directly between the MVP client and the device.
Remote Operator Panel functionality on MFPs is provided via an eSF application that comes installed on the device. MVP must be configured to support this application, and the application must be enabled, before the VNC operator panel support will be available.
To activate the Remote Operator Panel:
From the MarkVision Professional Home screen, select Embedded Solutions - Solutions Management from the All Tasks menu.
Select Remote Operator Panel from the list of embedded solutions.

Click Fetch Descriptor(s).
This installs the descriptor onto the MarkVision server.
Select the device using the Quick Find or Folders tabs.
From the MarkVision Professional Home screen, select Operator Panel from the All Tasks menu.
Click Launch VNC Applet.
The Remote Operator Panel will open in a new browser window.
