LEXMARK CARD COPY Readme for version 4.0.17 1. OVERVIEW This Readme file pertains to the current release of the LEXMARK CARD COPY application. Lexmark Card Copy is an embedded solution that can be installed on printers that support the Lexmark Embedded Solutions Framework (eSF) v5.x. Card Copy enables users to scan both sides of a wallet-sized card (insurance card, driver's license, and so on) and print them on a single page; e-mail them as a TIFF, PDF, or JPEG file; or save them to a shared network folder. 2. Supported eSF v5.x printers include: * CX725 * Required firmware level: ATL.02.042 or later * CX82x * Required firmware level: PP.02.041a or later * CX860 * Required firmware level: PP.02.041a or later b. To scan multiple cards at one time, install a hard disk on the printer. 4. LIMITATIONS AND COMPATIBILITY OF THE RELEASE Common issues: a. The Test button on the administration screen is not active. b. When printing, use letter or A4 paper sizes to avoid clipped images. c. There is no support for Windows XP TIFF viewers (Microsoft Office Picture Manager, Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, Paint). d. A rendered image on Gmail preview for TIFF files looks darker; download the TIFF file instead. 5. RELEASE NOTES * Initial release for multifunction products with a tablet-like touch-screen display.
