LEXMARK DISPLAY CUSTOMIZATION Readme for version 4.2.32 1. OVERVIEW This Readme file pertains to the current release of the LEXMARK DISPLAY CUSTOMIZATION application. Lexmark Display Customization lets you upload images to the printer. You can use the images to create custom slide shows or to set the wallpaper and the screen saver of the printer. This solution can be installed on printers that support the Lexmark Embedded Solutions (eSF) v5.x. 2. ASSOCIATED FILES The following files and publications are included in the release. a. A printer that supports eSF v5.x applications Supported eSF v5.x printers include: * CS620, CS720 * Required firmware level: CB.02.015 or later * CS820 * Required firmware level: YK.02.041 or later * CX725 * Required firmware level: ATL.02.015 or later * CX820 * Required firmware level: PP.02.041a or later * CX825, CX860 * Required firmware level: PP.02.041a or later b. Memory: The printer must have a minimum of 256MB RAM. 4. LIMITATIONS AND COMPATIBILITY OF THE RELEASE a. Image file size requirements: eSF v5.x printers * Supported images: JPEG, PNG, GIF (rendered as static, not animated). * A file size no larger than 64KB. * We recommend using an image that is 800 x 400 pixels. b. The application can only show alerts and warnings that occur after the application is installed and enabled. c. Card Authentication is compatible with the screen saver's quick access setting. This allows the application to display functionalities like Copy and Fax on top of the screen saver. 5. RELEASE NOTES Added support for multifunction printers with a tablet-like touch-screen display.
