LEXMARK SHORTCUT CENTER Readme for version 5.1.6 1. OVERVIEW This Readme file pertains to the current release of the LEXMARK SHORTCUT CENTER application. Lexmark Shortcut Center is an embedded solution that can be installed on printers that support the Lexmark Embedded Solutions Framework (eSF) v5.0. This application allows the creation of personalized copy, fax, and e-mail shortcuts on the touch screen to simplify common tasks. 2. ASSOCIATED FILES The following files and publications are included in the release. a. Application files *shortcuts_e5_s2-5.1.6.fls *The Shortcut Center application for eSF v5.0 MFPs b. Publications Administrator_Guide.pdf *The Administrator's Guide Readme.txt *(This file) 3. REQUIREMENTS a. A printer that supports eSF v5.0 applications. Supported eSF v5.0 printers include: * CX725 * Required firmware level: ATL.030.036 or later. * CX820 * Required firmware level: PP.030.036 or later. * CX825, CX860 * Required firmware level: PP.030.036 or later. b. Memory: The printer must have a minimum of 256MB RAM. 4. LIMITATIONS AND COMPATIBILITY OF THE RELEASE a. This application is not compatible with Device Quotas. If Device Quotas is installed on the printer, then jobs executed from Shortcut Center are not accounted for in the user's quota profile. b. A maximum of 27 shortcuts can be shown on the home screen. c. A maximum of 25 characters is allowed for shortcut names. d. Shortcut Center is protected by the Manage Shortcuts access control. But shortcuts shown on the home screen are associated with a different access control depending on the shortcut type. For example, e-mail shortcuts are protected by the E-mail Function access control, copy shortcuts are protected by Copy Function, and so on. e. Even if secure e-mail is installed, Shortcut Center uses standard non-secure email. f. Fax shortcuts created with this application do not support the Fax Cover Page option.
