LEXMARK SHORTCUT CENTER Readme for version 5.0.15 1. OVERVIEW This Readme file pertains to the current release of the LEXMARK SHORTCUT CENTER application for multifunction products (MFPs). Lexmark Shortcut Center lets you use the application to create shortcuts for frequently used functions that can be accessed from the printer home screen. This solution can be installed on MFPs that support the Lexmark Embedded Solutions Framework (eSF) v.5.x. 2. REQUIREMENTS a. An MFP that supports eSF v5.0 applications Supported eSF v5.0 MFPs include: * CX725 * Required firmware level: ATL.02.015 or later * CX820 * Required firmware level: PP.02.041a or later * CX825, CX860 * Required firmware level: PP.02.041a or later b. Memory: The MFP must have a minimum of 256MB RAM. 3. ASSOCIATED FILES The following files and publications are included in the release. a. Publications * Lexmark Shortcut Center Administrator’s Guide * The Administrator's Guide * Readme * (This file) 4. LIMITATIONS AND COMPATIBILITY OF THE RELEASE a. This application is not compatible with Device Quotas. If Device Quotas is installed on the printer, jobs executed from Shortcut Center will not be accounted in the user's quota profile. b. A maximum of 27 shortcuts can be shown on the home screen. c. A maximum of 25 characters is allowed for shortcut names. d. Shortcut Center is protected under the "Manage Shortcuts" access control. But shortcuts displayed on the home screen are associated with a different access control depending on the shortcut type. For example, e-mail shortcuts are protected by "E-mail Function" access control, and copy shortcuts are protected by "Copy Function." e. Even if secure e-mail is installed, Shortcut Center will use standard non-secured e-mail. f. Fax shortcuts created with this application do not support the Fax Cover Page option. 5. RELEASE NOTES Added support for multifunction printers with a tablet-like touch-screen display.
