Pharos Systems Solutions Suite v8.3 or v8.4 c. The Lexmark Register ME application 4. LIMITATIONS AND COMPATIBILITY OF THE RELEASE a. When moving the Pharos server using DHCP, and if the IP address of the Pharos server changes, then problems may occur. If this event occurs, then do the following: 1. From the Pharos Administrator application, click System > Server Configuration, and then in the Host Name field, type the host name of the new server. 2. For machines with a Pharos Popup Client installed, from Pharos/Popup Client/Server, in the registry setting, reset the Server Address setting with the new Pharos server address by using Regedit. b. If Print Release is used and the Spool Queue created on the Pharos server is configured to use a Lexmark custom print driver, then configure the driver to use the WinPrint print processor. Do the following: 1. From the computer, click Control Panel > Devices and Printers. 2. In the Printers and Faxes section, open the properties section of the print object that represents the Spool Queue. 3. Click the Advanced tab. 4. Click Print Processor, and then select WinPrint. 5. Click OK. c. Pharos calculates the job cost by the number of sides printed. For example, if you print a six-page document and enable two-sided printing, then you are charged for six pages even if the output is only three pages. d. The "Collate" per-job attribute is charged even when a single- page print job is sent through the Job Cost Method. e. If "Manual Feeder" is set as a per-job attribute in the Job Cost Method, and printing from USB is selected through the manual feeder, then the cost corresponding to "Manual Feeder" is not charged. f. If Card Authentication is used as the authentication method, then users are logged in to the printer when tapping the card for the first time. When they tap the card again to use a release station, they are logged out. Card Authentication logs in a user on the first tap and logs out the user on the second tap. Use manual login on this application. g. The USB feature does not follow the set timeout on the printer. When scanning from a flash drive to a folder, perform the Scan to USB feature on the specific folder. The folder name is used as the file name.
