CAD/CAM SOLUTION ARCHITECT

Job Purpose/Mission/Summary

This application Solution Architect role provides technical expertise on Computer Assisted Design tools and support business initiatives for the global Product Engineering teams.   

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Problem definition, evaluation of requirements, solution configuration and validation, functional specifications to deliver new features and user stories.
  • 3rd level assistance in resolving critical production incidents or pain points leveraging the Application Maintenance and Support partner teams.

Competencies, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Experience with all aspects of NX Team Center implementation including, but not limited to, configuration, programming, system administration and deployment.
  • Good working knowledge of the MS Windows operating system.  MS Windows Server and Linux knowledge a bonus. 
  • Understanding of incident management and having the ability to identify, analyze, and correct issues to prevent future re-occurrences.
  • Skills with writing and maintaining technical knowledge base articles for users and other support staff.
  • Gathering requirements, designing the future state solution, testing, change management and post implementation support. 
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills. Ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills will be necessary to work with US-based counterparts and business stakeholders worldwide. 
  • Flexibility to work with various personalities and cultures.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to support North America and Asia.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Successful teamwork experience and ability to mentor business and other team members to help them develop their skills and competency. 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or IT field  
  • Minimum of 6 years of mechanical design and global delivery experience.
