Job Purpose/Mission/Summary

The Content Design Project Manager is the team’s main link to the rest of the stakeholders across product development and service delivery teams. The Content Design PM leads the planning, development, and delivery of information products that support Lexmark and/or Lexmark OEM worldwide product announcement and release requirements, ensuring compliance with corporate and industry standards.  

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provides an accurate cost and effort sizing to projects and/or project managers/product planners and other stakeholders in collaboration with the Content Design project team.
  • Reviews and understands product and technical specifications ensuring that Information Products meet the requirements.
  • Timely develops, releases, and updates publications plans and schedules on assigned projects.
  • Understand the key checkpoints, milestones, and gates within the Lexmark PPDL process and how the customer and service enablement organization is involved in each one.
  • Understand and track all required standard work items for each assigned program and responsible for reporting project status, risk management and escalation of issues whenever necessary.
  • Experience in project management tools (Microsoft Project, SharePoint, etc).
  • Knowledge of Content Management system tools such as Vasont or AEM is a plus.
  • Collaborate with each area assigned a task or work item to ensure all tasks are on track.
  • Seeks resolutions to identified issues by gathering inputs from internal teams and flagging these issues to the cross functional teams.
  • Works knowledgeably with peers, team leads, editors, terminologist, SMEs, writers, illustrators, videographers, and other technical people to suggest products and process improvements for the customer.
  • Negotiates Content Design commitments (schedule/deliverables, etc.) with the cross functional teams.
  • Communicates effectively with internal and external customers on project updates and schedules.

Education, Experience and Certifications Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or project management field
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience directly related to project management
  • Highly organized with a demonstrated ability to track progress, drive actions, and communicate requirement as well as progress reports
  • Collaboration skills along with the ability to negotiate required timelines among competing priorities
  • Self-motivated and empowered to complete assignments or seek help when needed
  • Experience with vendor management is a plus
  • Proficient with basic office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, SharePoint Lists, and Microsoft Project is preferred but not required. In absence of experience with these tools, a demonstrated ability to learn and use similar project management tools is required.
  • PMP certification preferred but not required
