Scan clear images from magazines or newspapers

Descreening helps to remove wavy patterns from magazines or newspapers.

  1. Load your document on the scanner glass.
  2. Open the Lexmark All-In-One Center.
The Lexmark All-In-One Center Main Page displays.
  1. Select the Scan tab.
    1. From What is being scanned? select the type of image you are scanning.
    2. Choose an option from the How will the scan be used? pop-up menu.
    3. From the Send scanned images to pop-up menu, choose a destination or application for your scanned image.
    4. Select Prompt for multiple pages if you have several items to scan.
    5. Click Scan.
Continue on to step 4 to view your scanned image and fine-tune your settings.
  1. Click Preview to open the Scan tab.
  2. From the Settings tab, choose a preset scan setting or select Custom Settings and manually adjust
    the color depth and resolution.
  3. From the Descreen Magazine or Newspaper pop-up menu, choose Magazine if you are scanning a magazine image, and Newspaper if you are scanning a newspaper image.
  4. Click Scan to apply your settings and scan the image.
