Copying original documents in color

From the control panel

  1. Load paper into the paper support.
  2. Load an original document on the scanner glass.
  3. Press Mode until the Copy light comes on. From here, you can:
    • Press Page Preview to view the document on the control panel display.
    • Press Resize to enlarge or reduce the image. Use the left (-) and right (+) arrows to choose a preset enlargement or reduction value. Press Select.
    • Press Number of Copies, and then use the left (-) and right (+) arrows to scroll through the numbers. Press Select.
  4. Press Menu to open the Copy menu. Adjust the settings as needed.
  5. Press Color.

From the Lexmark 4300 Series Center

  1. Load paper into the paper support.
  2. Load an original document on the scanner glass.
  3. Open the Lexmark 4300 Series Center.
  4. Select the Copy tab.
    1. From the Quantity & Copy Type area, choose Color.
    2. Customize the rest of the settings in the Copy tab as needed.
  5. Click Preview/Edit to open the Copy dialog for more copy options.
    1. Select the Settings tab.
      • Make sure Color is selected as the copy type.
      • Select a copy quality.
      • Descreen, if needed.
      • Reduce background noise, if needed. Select Reduce Background Noise, and move the slider to adjust the level of noise reduction.
      • Note: The noise reduction option is only enabled when copying or scanning color documents.
    2. Select the Adjustments tab, and adjust the settings as needed.
    3. Select the Finishing tab for additional layout options.
  6. Click Copy.
