Lexmark, a global imaging solutions leader, today announced it has been recognised at the NHS in the North Excellence in Supply Awards, partnering with Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to the ‘Excellence in Supplier Engagement’ category.
The five-year smart Managed Print Services agreement has seen Lexmark consolidate Aintree University Hospital’s print devices by over 70%, providing a platform on which to drive continuous improvement and control.
The NHS in the North Excellence in Supply awards promote and celebrate private sector organisations working in partnership with the NHS to deliver high quality, effective, and efficient patient care that supports the goal of delivering more for less.
“Working with Lexmark was great,” commented Jonathan Lofthouse, Director of Improvement at Aintree University Hospital, NHS Foundation Trust. “Together we planned how to best to tackle the specific and unique challenges we were facing, and through the implementation of new print infrastructure we were able to consolidate and reduce the number of devices in our portfolio. The rollout of Lexmark devices across the trust also enables us to move towards a paper-lite system, reducing the number of devices and unnecessary printing, whilst helping to digitally transform our print processes.”
Commenting on the standard of entries, Mick Guymer, Chair of the NHS Northern Customer Board and awards judge said: ““The quality and diversity of the work that’s being rolled out across the region is very impressive. It’s very encouraging that so many collaborations are taking place to overcome the challenges we face and deliver efficiencies and better care.”
“Lexmark is delighted to have been able to leverage our expertise in the UK healthcare market to support Aintree University Hospital Trust on its digital transformation journey,” commented Martin Fairman, Managing Director, Lexmark Global Services UK & Ireland. “At a time when the NHS is facing increased technological and financial pressures, the specifically tailored fleet of Lexmark devices will enable Aintree University Hospital Trust to move towards a paper-lite office, meeting security requirements whilst also reducing paper and cartridge waste.”
Lexmark creates innovative imaging solutions and technologies that help customers worldwide print, secure and manage information with ease, efficiency and unmatched value.
