Laura D'Andrea Tyson is een Distinguished Professor van de Graduate School, directeur van het Institute for Business and Social Impact aan de Berkeley Haas School of Business. Ze is ook voorzitter van de Board of Trustees van het Blum Center for Developing Economies aan de University of California, Berkeley.  Dr. Tyson heeft een summa cum laude bachelordiploma van Smith College en een doctoraat in economie van het Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
