Scan a photograph

  1. Load your document on the scanner glass (photograph).
  2. Open the Lexmark All-In-One Center.
The Lexmark All-In-One Center Main Page displays.
  1. Select the Scan tab.
    1. From the What is being scanned? pop-up menu, select Photo.
    2. From the How will the scan be used? pop-up menu, choose To be printed or Viewed on-screen/Web page.
    3. From the Send scanned images to pop-up menu, choose a destination or application for your scanned photo.
    4. Select Prompt for multiple pages if you have several photographs to scan.
    5. Click Scan to begin the scan process or continue on to step 4 to view your scanned image and fine-tune your settings.
  2. Click Preview to open the Scan tab.
  3. From the Settings tab:
    1. Select any of these preset scan settings:
      • Color Photo - Print
      • Color Photo - Web
      • Black & White Photo
      • Black Text
    Or, you can select Custom Settings and manually adjust the color depth and resolution.
    1. From the Descreen Magazine or Newspaper pop-up menu, choose Photo.
  4. From the Adjustments tab:
    1. Customize the settings, as needed.
    2. Crop photos, if needed.
  5. Click Scan.

Your scanned photos are sent to your selected destination or photo software application for saving or editing.
